John is the founder of the non-profit organization called "Center for Media and Democracy." Everyday, he and his group check TV, radio and newspaper, to see if there's any misinformation. "This TV commercial is saying it is 'yummy!' but it has poison in it." "News is saying 'wonderful development' but they chopped down the whole forest." And "Our president is saying something totally opposite from what he said awhile ago."
John has many people working with him, but there is much much more media to check in America. But it would be horrible if people believed in wrong information. John often holds meetings and discusses how to reach more people.
Ben, who founded non-profit organization called "True Majority", was also excited. Ben is Ben of Ben & Jerry ice cream. Ben explains us about US budget using his favorite Oreo cookies. If the Pentagon budget equals 40 cookies, only 5 out of 40 will be for our schools, health insurance, world hunger and alternative energy development to eliminate our need for oil. Not only that, but the combined budget for all of the terrorists' armaments is less than one cookie!
When our educational budget suffers from money taken away to be used for military, when our precious natural resources suffer from destruction by oil mining, Ben sends out email to everybody. When we receive it, we can go to his website and click to submit the petition to Congress.
John and Ben are very excited. "Neil said we can have his stream out from our websites! That will lead more new people to us, and they can know what we are doing!"
Many organizations, many people for peace, and many fans of Neil Young set up the link to the stream, and waited.
