We, humans, are not always wise. We are the only creatures that kill each other. We are the only creatures that has been doing one of the most stupid things called war. We are the only creatures that destroy the global environment beyond repair. Yet I think we are still very special. We are the only creatures that can be moved to tears. We are the only creatures that has created the most beautiful things called music. And we are the only creatures that can communicate, and share our feelings, even with someone on the other side of the world like you. That's why I'm writing this now, hoping to reach someone who can share my feelings about "Living with War", and my desire for the true world peace. "Don't do to others what you would not want yourself. Don't hate your country when being there, don't hate your home when being there." from The Analects of Confucius It is a very simple and peaceful key to the peace. From now on, I truly pray for not a single death under the name of war and terrorism. Not just praying for it, I feel like I received an opportunity to start thinking what I can do for it. Listening to Neil's songs, I realized I am also "Living With War", it is not only happening to others. I believe this light lit by Neil will never fade away. Thank you. tock 'n' roll, 33 Spring Hill (AUS), chef |

My dearest Neil Young. The first album I bought was "After The Gold Rush". Since then for 36 years, I've been buying your albums steadily. I'm totally with you with your new album "Living With War". Hideo Tsuburaya |

I've been a fan of Neil Young since I was 18. It was a high time for the protest against Vietnam War. There is a song called "Ohio", and I recall it was about 4 people killed by the army trying to control the protest gathering. I didn't thoroughly understand the lyrics of the song, but I could sense his feeling. I also loved the song "Southern Man". I think he was singing about the barbaric people in the south. 35 years have passed since then. I'm really happy to know Neil still has the same heart. And also it is the privilege to be able to read the Japanese translation while listening to his songs. All the songs brought tears to my eyes.
